How to Enable CD Recording for your DVD-RW

If an application does not recognize your DVD-RW when trying to burn a CD, or if when you try to copy files to it you receive an error that says “Drive is not accessible. Incorrect Function,” you may need to enable CD Recording.

To enable CD Recording on your DVD-RW, follow these instructions:

1) Open “Computer” (or “My Computer”).
2) Click on the DVD-RW with your Right mouse button, and choose Properties.
3) Click on the Recording tab at the top of the Properties window.
4) Place a check in the box next to “Enable CD recording on this drive.”

5) Click OK
